Our drum pumps are not recommended for pumping D-Limonene with a concentration greater than 10%, but do handle a huge range of other chemicals. Learn more here.
Limonene is a colorless liquid, aliphatic hydrocarbon. It is used in some cleaning chemicals formulas including some industrial soaps.
Limonene takes its name from the peel of the lemon.
In some countries cleaning chemicals containing D- Limonene are called citrus cleaners.
Being a hydrocarbon solvent means it is absorbed by the polypropylene plastic used in the construction of Ezi-action® Drum Pumps. This absorption causes the plastic to swell.
Where the concentration of D- Limonene is greater than 10% this swelling will cause the pump to jam.
Ezi-action® Drumpumps are therefore not recommended for pumping D-Limonene where the concentration is greater than 10%. Clients around the world in a range of industries are able to pump a huge range of chemicals with our hand drum pumps.
