EZI-ACTION PUMPS FOR SUNSCREEN

Kilimanjaro Sunscreen Protection Unit (KSPU) needed a reliable,

safe hand pump for dispensing the components of their improved KiliSun sunscreen.

KiliSun is the first ever sunscreen formulated specifically for people with albinism.

The improved sunscreen has an SPF of 50 and higher absorption of UVA rays and long lasting protection.

Normal sunscreens cannot withstand the hot African sun.

Now with further expansion of production of KiliSun a proven hand pump for dispensing from bulk containers was required.

New Zealand Pump Company is pleased to have donated Ezi-action® Drum Pumps to support this worthy cause.

BASF Personal Care provides free ingredients such as UV filters, emollients and emulsifiers and has provided expertise to enable the development of the improved KiliSun sunscreen.

As people in Tanzania with albinism are often discriminated against and excluded from communities they can easily spend too much time in the sun. The extreme sun exposure can cause skin malignancies at an early age.  KiliSun sunscreen can withstand temperatures between 40-50C. KSPU distributes KiliSun cream free of charge in 200g recyclable pots.
