Since 30 September 1998, approval and compliance of food grade lubricants is the responsibility of the NSF International.

An oil or grease qualifies as an NSF H1 food-grade lubricant when, in the event of a contamination, it is present in no more than 10mg/kg of the food stuff in question and does not cause any physiological hazard or affect the food’s odour and taste in any way.

Food safe dispensing equipment for NSF H1 food-grade lubricant is required. Ezi-action® Drumpumps are food safe and can be used with confidence for dispensing NSF H1 food-grade lubricants.

Food grade H1 products are manufactured from components that have been evaluated and approved by the FDA and declared safe for use in food processing preparations. Premium quality H1 lubricants are Kosher and Pareve approved as well as Halal certified.

NSF H1 Food Grade lubricants and Ezi-action® Drumpumps play a key role in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs.

There is a hazard risk at the point where food grade lubricants are dispensed.

The use of the food safe Ezi-action® Drumpump to dispense NSF H1 Food Grade lubricants provides control of this hazard risk.

Further control of this hazard risk is provided with colour coded Ezi-action® Drumpumps. Colour coding ensures that the Ezi-action Drumpump is only used for food grade lubricant dispensing. The safety strap, that prevents unauthorized use of the pump, is available in a range of colours.

Colour coding of the Ball Handle is also available.
